Letters extra: Nativity plays - a plea for tradition

Re “How schools are killing nativity plays” ( TES 19 December 2003 ). I attended a nurseryreception nativity play at the school where I have been a governor for overnbsp;20 years. I did not recognise a single carol - the service was “jazzed up” beyond belief. Even the angels were jiggling to the “music”.

Change for the sake of change is not always to the good. Why try to change an old, old story?
