A-level pass rate rises yet again

Early evidence from a survey of A-level standards by Britain’s top public schools has provided mixed evidence of change. Heads of department believe there has been a degree of “grade inflation”, said Vivian Anthony, secretary of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference. However, the schools also found evidence that A-level standards have in fact been rising over recent years, said Mr Anthony.
