Northern Ireland pupils continue to outperform their counterparts in England and Wales. Last week’s A-level results show that 34 per cent of entries gained an A grade, compared with 26 per cent and 25 per cent in England and Wales. The overall A-level pass rate climbed by 0.3 per cent to 97.5 per cent, the 27th consecutive rise.
