Schools in Wales would be Pounds 230 million better off under Liberal Democrat education plans, it was claimed.
The party’s leader, Nick Clegg, promised that a future Lib Dem government would make public spending cuts and finance a massive cash injection for education.
The Welsh Lib Dems said they would put the extra money into closing the school funding gap, cutting class sizes and helping socially disadvantaged pupils.
But Labour described the spending plans as “confused”.
