The four victims of last year’s Lyme Bay canoe tragedy would probably havesurvived if their life jackets had been inflated, Winchester Crown Court was told this week. Commander Edward Oakley, a Royal Navy survival expert, said the children should have been told to inflate the jackets as soon as they entered the water.
