Lifetime’s achievement in Lancs

We enjoyed your article on the Ted Wragg lifetime achievement award for head Margaret Lund from Lancashire (TES, October 24). Not only has she achieved so much in her school, as your piece pointed out, but she has also been busy representing teachers. Ms Lund has stood with colleagues around Lancashire, lobbying parents and the public and calling for a boycott of Sats and the end of league tables.

We write in the hope that others, including heads, will be inspired by her to redouble their efforts to remove the remaining Sats and league tables.
