Ages 5 to 7
To encourage young children to read independently and for enjoyment, I put an extra copy of each reading group’s book in my library. The children enjoy sharing these books with their peers, and it encourages some children to read more challenging texts. I find the children very supportive of each other and use the books in role play games such as “schools”
