“Literacy or literacies: an agenda for the day after tomorrow” is the title of a seminar to be given by Professor Gunther Kress, London Institute of Education, on March 19 at the Taylor Room, John Adams Hall, 15-23 Endsleigh Street, London WC1, 5-6.30 pm.

Organised by the Bilingualism and Languages Network as part of “The Millennium and the English Curriculum” series, it will explore such topics as the displacement of the written word by visual images in many areas of public communications.
