A probationer at St Luke’s High in Barrhead was about to wax lyrical about electricity to her science class a couple of weeks ago.
As she held up her hand to gain attention, a crash of thunder and an enormous bolt of lightning flashed outside, and the school was plunged into darkness by a power cut. “What have I done?” asked the probationer in panic.
But it turned out that the fault lay with the Almighty as far as the lightning went and with Scottish Power whose main cable went out of action.
Physics is fun, after all.
