A French and English bilingual primary course is now available at L'ecole Marie d'Orliac in Fulham, a London-based school run by the French government. Its partner school is neighbouring Holy Cross RC School. The project is a joint venture between the Diocese of Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham Council and the French school. Applications are made via Holy Cross. Pupils from both schools will be taught together, using a common curriculum.
Sarah Gore, council cabinet member for children's services, said: "We not only need to provide more places for our growing primary school population but want to offer parents a meaningful choice."
Primary school admissions opened earlier this week and parents can now apply for a September 2010 start. gl.
