IT was notable that the article on “God postcards“made no reference to any leaders of non-Christian faiths who had objected to the postcards. My experience of teaching pupils of all faiths would suggest a simple explanation for this: leaders of world faiths welcome any initiative to open up debate on issues of meaning and significance. They recognise the distinction between manipulation of young minds and honestly raising issues for students to evaluate.
