While it is true that, as in many fields, there is still debate over the nature of dyscalculia and its relationship to other similar difficulties the meeting was unanimous that they ere not “divided”. Further meetings are to be held and joint research conducted.
The overall conclusion was that “in dyscalculia we are where we were with dyslexia 15 to 20 years ago. The difference is that we are now determined to work together to solve the problems.”
