Meet the greats

Listen and learn. That’s the motto of website People’s Archive, which has recorded interviews with dozens of great thinkers and scientists and posted them on the web.

“We look for anyone who represents the pinnacle of achievement in their field and allow them the luxury to talk at length and in depth about their life and work,” said Tamsin Newmark, archive director.

“We started with the idea that it would be wonderful if we could listen to such people as Monet, Einstein and Shakespeare today.”

The physicist Sir Bernard Lovell (below) and the biologist Gerald Edelman are among those to have graced the website.
