Meet the trainee

Age:21. I’ve just presented a short introduction of Gardner’s theory on ‘How Children Learn’ to PGCE trainees. It was terrifying.

My interview outfit is a black trouser suit with a stiking red top.I’m really looking forward to getting out of Uni and back into a classroom again. It’s hard being taught after you’ve been teaching.

I’m nervous about teaching A-Level . What if they know more than me?

I couldn’t believe it when a pupil asked me if I was wearing a wig one day.

I had let my hair dry naturally so it was curly.

I would like to work in a secondary school, maybe Wales. It’s brilliant.

Teleri Davies is studying a PGCE Secondary course in History (Welsh Medium) at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth and is on teaching practice at Ysgol Y Preseli, Crymych
