I’ve just come from the pub where I had breakfast.

I want to become a teacher because primary school is where children learn how to learn before they can learn anything else.

The most exciting thing that’s happened to me so far is my first lesson taught start to finish that worked. It got a positive evaluation and was both quite a giggle and reassuring.

But I’m not really looking forward to preparing a unit of work for RE, thanks to my present lack of subject knowledge.

I can’t believe that there are so few men in primary schools, but most headteachers are men.

I’ll know I’m a teacher when my class enjoys learning as much as I enjoy teaching.

I’m nervous about my block placement.

I would like my new job to be in a small rural primary school. I’d like to work in the countryside.

The best thing about Sheffield is that I know it well enough to find whatever I want whenever I need it.
