Further-education employees who suffer mental illness are concealing their conditions for fear of being stigmatised in the workplace

Figures from Lifelong Learning UK show that just 0.02 per cent of staff declared a mental-health condition in the latest workforce returns. This compares with the 2.6 per cent of staff who declared a disability. Advice is available at www.lluk.org on helping to destigmatise mental ill health.
