Leicestershire’s two largest colleges, Leicester South Fields and Charles Keene, are to press ahead with merger plans after a feasibility study concluded that joining together “would provide an even better education service for the local community”. The principals of both colleges have now agreed that steps should be taken to merge by August 1999.
