A million objects to see

Led by the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery at the University of Glasgow, the What Clicks project provides computer-users with access to collections in Scotland that they might otherwise not get to visit. Museum, art gallery, anatomy and zoology collections feature categories such as the Egyptians, the Mackintosh collection, the respiratory system and insects respectively. Contained in these are more than a million objects. On the homepage an “object of the month” is pictured and described, and there is a link to “Star items” included in the Hunterian’s Collection. The site also has details of the educational visits available for those schools able to get to the museum.
