Bangladeshi pupils are improving faster than other ethnic minorities at GCSE level, according to new government figures. Lord Adonis, the schools minister, said the figures showed the Government was closing the gap between black, Pakistani and Bangladeshi pupils and other students.
He said: “These are encouraging results and a real testament to the hard work of pupils and teachers.”
