Mind your language

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/mind-your-language-5

I write in praise of your superb magazine. However, I detest the unnecessary, foul, football hooligan language used in the occasional article - for example, “What am I here for?” (Comment, 18 January). We do not need such childish, unfunny spoilage of our lovely language. While I am here and angry, would the author please look up the real meaning of “begs the question”?
