Mine of stories

Tony Wilson is a former teacher who is now a musician and storyteller. His CDs are an amiable blend of old and new. Some tracks feature traditional tales - the Three Pigs or the King of the Fish - told in a warm Geordie accent backed by highly accomplished guitar. Others derive from children’s own contributions, such as a charming account of a baby duck who astonishes his parents by saying quick rather than quack. One CD covers mining in the North-east through song, story and rhyme with dark humour and sympathy. The CDs are pound;6 each.
