EDUCATION Secretary Charles Clarke has resuffled his ministers’

responsibilities. Ivan Lewis has become junior minister for young people as well as for adult learning. He is now responsible for truancy, discipline, pupil welfare, drugs and alcohol education, school inclusion, and Connexions service. Stephen Twigg is now in charge of primary schools, literacy and numeracy strategies, and class sizes. Margaret Hodge has added further education to her brief and Baroness Ashton will cover special needs.
