Sue Wilkes, 37, who is studying feminist history at Leeds University, wants to be awarded a Mistress, not Master, of Arts degree. She is seeking legal advice to see if she can force the university to recognise gender on all its degree courses, so women can be Spinsters, not Bachelors, of Arts or Science.
