Mixing up centres and systems;Letter

WHILE I did "found" ALIS, the A-level informal system (TES, May 14), the curriculum, evaluation and management centre was founded by a much-loved colleague, Colin McCabe, who was then dean of education at the University of Newcastle.

Colin brought in a set of technical vocational educational initiative evaluations and these formed the first work of the CEM Centre.
