SCHOOL standards minister Estelle Morris this week unveiled a raft of new internet services intended to make teachers’ working lives simpler and more effective.

A new website, www.teachernet.gov.uk, is described as “the first official single gateway to the web for teachers” because it provides links to a range of other educational web pages and servies.

Ms Morris also launched a new electronic “in-tray” system for teachers www.easea.co.uk, which will provide easy access to Department for Education and Employment publications. There is also an “A-Z of School Leadership and management” to help teachers keep up-to-date with career, management and legal information at www.dfee.gov.uka-z
