MPs pressed on vouchers

Quality assurance should be included in the Government's scheme for nursery vouchers, the Scottish Consumer Council has told MPs. The council is seeking an amendment to the Education (Scotland) Bill.

A complaints procedure is also needed, the council says, especially since the Government intends that nursery establishments will have only a "light touch" inspection.
