Mums are best, say teenagers

More than six out of 10 secondary lessons are spent copying from the board, a Mori survey of 2,400 pupils has revealed.

It found that 55 per cent of pupils would prefer to learn in groups, 39 per cent wanted to do practical things and 32 per cent wanted more use of computers.

The study also found that pupils feel they learn more from their mothers than from teachers, fathers or friends.
