Portraits amp; Dreams, An Tuireann Arts Centre, Portree, Isle of Skye, May-June

Photographs by widely-travelled American artist Wendy Ewald of community work with children and adults in various parts of the world. Ewald will be holding art workshops on Skye with schools and other groups, exploring issues of identity. The An Tuireann Arts Centre is also the venue, on February 17, for the launch of the new Travelling Gallery exhibition, “Wish I Was Here”, featuring specially commissioned portraits of 24 Scottish poets, and their work. Six of the poets are based on Skye and the official launch will include traditional music by pupils from Plockton High School.
