Geography - Ages 11-15

If you and your pupils are going on a trip by public transport why not try this - it’s great for meaningful mapwork skills and has the bonus of keeping pupils quiet when out and about.

If you are travelling on a bus, ask pupils to write down the names of the streets they travel along. When they get back to school they can retrace the route using a map.

If travelling by train or tube, get them to make a note of the names of the stations they stop at and when you return to school find them on a map or Google earth. Visit http:earth.google.com and www.streetmap.co.uk
