National Union of Teachers survey

* A National Union of Teachers survey has found that two in five schools offer inadequate support to special needs pupils.

The poll of 141 special educational needs co-ordinators found that three-quarters identified lack of money as either the first or second largest obstacle to effectively doing their job.
