The National War Museum of Scotland presents the country’s military past at Edinburgh Castle in six newly-refurbished galleries with separate themes.

For Armistice Day, a Voices of War exhibition will offer Primary 7 to Secondary 5 classes the chance to explore Scots’ experiences of the First and Second World Was through diaries, letters and poems read by actors. It runs November 6-10, with sessions at 10.30am and 11.30am, max 33 people. pound;1 a pupil. Book on 0131 225 7534.
