Nearly correct?

Tes Editorial

Regarding the continuing furore over key stage 3 national test in English: our school returned 15 scripts for regrading, and our judgment was upheld in 11 cases (73 per cent). The letter from the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority accompanying the returned scripts stated that this remarking proved the original marking to be "correct or very nearly so".

This outrageously inaccurate claim defies credibility. A doctor misdiagnosing 73 per cent of his or her patients would get short shrift.
