Science

- Darwin Day on 12 February can be celebrated by early primary pupils with “What do humans and plants need to grow?” - a lesson plan and worksheet from the Hamilton Trust, on the relationship between humans and plants. For a depiction of Darwin’s life, for upper primary, try Zsuzsi77‘s storybook.

Maths

- Eam_larkin’s Algebra Simplifying Trail is a series of cards teachers can laminate for everyday use or display on a whiteboard for reference. Pupils solve equations on their worksheet, note the matching symbol for their answer, then search the school grounds for the number and corresponding image.

Modern languages

- Improve pupils’ confidence in pronunciation with Comberton Village College’s Jollyphonics lesson, or give them a reason to be excited about French - engage them in the culture with miss_moneypenny’s quiz cards.
