Newborn joins the places race

A two-hour-old baby has been registered for a popular primary.

Rhea Moors's name was added to the waiting-list for Lytchett Matravers primary in Dorset while she and her mother recovered from the birth on November 29.

The previous record was held by an 11-hour-old, on the waiting-list at the same school. Early registration is no guarantee of a place, as allocations are decided by the local authority.
