In the past two years, 86 per cent of companies have promised to reduce their carbon footprint from business travel. Is this because they are greener or broke? An interesting one to debate with your pupils.

Wednesday: International Day of Peace

Peace Day was established by the UN in 1981. Check out Peace Education’s excellent resource Sadako’s Cranes for Peace, the story of a girl who attempted to make 1,000 origami birds to commemorate Hiroshima.

Thursday: Traitor or Patriot?

Friday: Man’s best friend
