A nice dodge?

It has been interesting to read the comments about the freedom from inspection for outstanding schools (Letters, June 4). It is difficult in such economically challenging times to justify the cost of Ofsted repeatedly telling schools what they already know. So it’s great news that we won’t be inspected any more. Hopefully, this is just the start, with good schools being exempted next.

Wouldn’t it be great if some of the savings go towards supporting those schools in more difficult areas rather than increasing inspection of them, which again invariably tells them what they already know?
