Gateshead College has helped secure jobs for 200 previously unemployed people thanks to an innovative training scheme with car company Nissan. The college is part of a partnership with Nissan, Jobcentre Plus and training firm NAC Group offering jobseekers basic skills before giving them production-line experience at the car company.
