No need for an efficiency drive

We know that teaching to the test provides artificial results and only short-term benefits to children. Why do so many leaders waste time, effort and energy “leading to the test”, or - as Geraint Jones described it last week - “leadership by report”? The best school leaders I know are choosing instead to make time for the stuff that will really impact children’s learning.
