While Harrow would not shy from the experience of sharing good practice with and between LEAs, the suggestion was that Harrow was somehow deemed to be failing. This has done no service to colleagues in schools here or in the support teams.
Harrow is, in fact, following its strong principle of continuous self-improvement. In key stage 2, the 2002 targets have already been met. We have been short-listed for Beacon status with our submission to tackle underachievement. We have also been approached to offer advice and support to other LEAs. I think these are signs of much success.
