National non-uniform day is UNICEF’s annual event for schools and takes place on the first Friday in February.

The day aims to increase awareness and knowledge of difficulties faced by children in other countries. Students wear what they like or take part in other fund-raising activities. The money will go towards a named UNICEF-assisted programme.

Water and sanitation programmes in Indonesia will benefit next year and a free education pack is available about the country. Tel: 0171 405 5592.
