Two scientists working on the Big Bang experiments with the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), pictured, have shared their experiences with pupils from 10 primary schools across Northern Ireland at the Titanic’s Dock and Pump House in Belfast.
Hundreds more pupils watched a live webcast as Dr Steve Myers from Belfast and Professor James Stirling from Glengormley explained how the LHC works.
“I hope the next generation of Northern Ireland scientists come away with the sense of excitement that first attracted me to the subject area,” Dr Meyers said. MR.
