Key stage 2 pupils from Yewdale Primary visited Carlisle Castle and experienced the life of Tudor raiders the Border Reivers first hand thanks to English Heritage.

England rugby player and Northampton Saints captain Dylan Hartley (pictured right) attended the third annual Finborough U12 Rugby Festival at Finborough School in Stowmarket, Suffolk. Other teams included New Hall School, Wisbech Grammar, Barnardiston, Holmwood House, Langley and Norwich.

Racket star Oliver Holland, 16, of Nottingham High School has won the Nordic Junior Squash Open in Malmo, Sweden. He triumphed in all five of his matches, beating players from Norway, Denmark, Netherlands and the Czech Republic along the way, without dropping a single game.

Joshua has cerebal palsy and is registered blind, but has overcome his disabilities with the staff at Great Willbraham Primary, near Cambridge, and headed to college this year.
