History pupils at St Bede's Catholic Comprehensive School, County Durham, learnt about the history of Norman Britain from a windy sand dune on Amble beach in Northumberland, while others studying tropical rainforests were introduced to exotic frogs, snakes, stick insects and a giant millipede.

Shaghigh Aryan, an IB student at Westminster Academy, is one of four interns with the ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital in Vietnam.
