Get creative with Othello
Globe Education will run a one-day course (19 October, #163;150) that explores creative ways of teaching Shakespeare at A level. Focusing on Othello, it will cover the Bard’s characters, language and plays in performance, and include a discussion of the Globe theatre’s architecture and how it affects the audienceactor relationship. Gemraroloz has shared a “guess who” game using cartoon and film characters. Pupils must describe a character without saying their name. It is a great reward for good behaviour or way to help young pupils construct descriptive sentences. bit.lyguessingfun
Vision on the deaf
Life amp; DeafSigns of the Past is a joint exhibition at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London, which documents the creative work of young deaf people. Photos capture poetry, performance and art workshops, while a video project explores the naval college for a British Sign Language audience. Until 30 September.
Sing in perfect harmony
