Digital Shakespeare
Plays from the Globe Education Shakespeare series, including Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth, are now available as iBooks. Aimed at 11- to 16-year-olds, they include activities from the rehearsal room as well as audio and video clips. The iBooks, published by Hodder Education, cost #163;4.99 and are available from iTunes.
LGBT conference
The Schools Out Annual National Conference on 2 February is designed to support teachers to make sure their school is a safe and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pupils. There will be interactive workshops, performances and a debate on whether a “gay gene” exists.
