Every secondary in England should have its own nurse to help improve public health, the chief nursing officer said this week. Sarah Mullally said primary care trusts should aim to have at least one full-time school nurse to cover every secondary and its cluster of primary schools. The call came in her review of how to improve local health services, as part of the Government’s Green Paper, Every Child Matters.
