HOUSING developers have approached one of Britain’s grandest girls’
boarding schools with an offer it cannot refuse. St Mary’s school in Wantage has been offered more than pound;10 million for its 13-acre site and buildings, which date from 1684. After 130 years, the pound;20,000-a-year school is considering moving to a larger site in the area.
