The chairman of the select committee investigating the work of Ofsted says he has little confidence in its child care ability. Barry Sheerman, Labour MP for Huddersfield, was speaking after the committee meeting investigating the child services regulatory body, which has come under increased scrutiny following the Baby P case. Sheerman said: “When it comes to education I have every faith in Ofsted, but when it comes to child care I am not confident at all.”
