Older staff hope to wind down

CLASSROOM unions are hoping a Green Paper on pensions due out next week will offer more flexibility for teachers to "wind down" to retirement. Allowing teachers to work, say, three days and draw a pension for the other two, could encourage more to stay beyond 60. Currently around a quarter accept cuts in their pension benefits to leave before 60.
