Ombudsman raps ‘unjust’ council

A LOCAL government ombudsman has recommended that Leeds City Council reconsider a decision not to pay the transport costs of a child transferred to a different school by the parents followig incidents of bullying and injury. Patricia Thomas said the council had not properly reviewed the request for financial help, thus acting unjustly toward the child and parents.
